Obituary of Kathleen Darwin Murphy

Kathleen Darwin Murphy, 77, of Lookout Mountain, Georgia, peacefully passed away at her home on Sunday, February 9th. Kathleen was born on September 23rd, 1935 in Chattanooga and was the daughter of Judge & Mrs. Frank Sharp Darwin. She was married to Raymond Ryan Murphy, Jr. for 55 years. Kathleen attended Normal Park Elementary, Girl’s Preparatory School , UTK and UTC. She worked at TVA and did some modeling for various department stores in Chattanooga. She was a member of the Junior league of Chattanooga and Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, her twin brother, Frank Darwin, Jr., and her husband, Ray. She is survived by her three children, Karen Murphy Wilson (John), Raymond Ryan Murphy III (Beth) and Kim Murphy Mathis (Robbie), as well as her nine grand Children: Joshua Lasater Wilson, Murphy Munroe Wilson, John Ryan Wilson, Raymond Ryan Murphy IV (Stefanie), Cole Davis Murphy (Brittney), Rebecca Darwin Murphy, Michelle Kathleen Acuna Smith (Steven), Almariana Jessica Acuna, Alvaro Jose Acuna III and two great grandchildren, William August Smith and Catherine Rae Smith. Visitation will be Saturday, February 15th from 10 – 11 am at Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church followed by a memorial service at 11.
