Obituary of Kenneth Ray McEwen

Kenneth R. McEwen, 76, of Soddy-Daisy, died Friday, May 5, 2006, at his home. Mr. McEwen was retired from U.S. Pipe and was a member of Sequoyah Baptist Tabernacle. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was the son of the late Harvey and Molly Condra McEwen. He also was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Michelle McEwen. He is survived by his wife, Wagie M. McEwen; two sons, Jimmy McEwen, Athens, AL, Danny Arnold, Rossville; daughter, Sherry Barrett, Palatka, FL; two stepsons, James R. "J.R." Ricketts, Chickamauga, GA, Billy Cunningham, Red Bank; four stepdaughters, Mary Helen Thurmond, Chattanooga, Brenda Mathis, Harrison, Glenda Biggs, Birchwood, Debbie Keedy, Brayton, TN; brother, Jerry McEwen, Chattanooga; three sisters, Ann Marr, Rossville, Jean Gann, Hixson, Alice McEwen, Chattanooga; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Sequoyah Baptist Tabernacle with the Rev. David Stancil officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
