Obituary of Peggy M. Tankersley

 

Peggy M. Tankersley, 73 of Hixson, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018.  She was retired from Erlanger Hospital, attended First Baptist Church of Soddy-Daisy and a 1962 Graduate of Central High School. 

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Burns and Blanche Shropshire, and a brother Winifred Burns.

 

She is survived by daughters; Kim Burke of Soddy-Daisy, and Karen (Johnny) Harwood of Rossville, GA, brother; Bobby (Peggy) Burns of Hixson, sister; Darlene (Greg) Barnwell of Crossville, grandchildren; Haley (Corey) Peters, Zachary Weathers, Seth Weathers all of Rossville, GA, and Hunter Burke of Soddy-Daisy, great-granddaughter Grace Peters, special friend; Reg Smith and several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends at Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 4-8 P.M.  The funeral service will be held in the Legacy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Seton Tomyn officiating.  Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

 

Memorial contributions can be given in Peggy's name to the First Baptist Church of  Soddy-Daisy.
